Wine Competition and Wine Tasting in Long Beach

The results of the Long Beach Grand Cru Wine Competition are announced during the Long Beach Grand Cru Awards & Tasting event. Guests are feted with sumptuous cuisine donated by the Southland's finest restaurants, and medal winning wines are served. Music and a silent auction featuring one-of-a-kind items are also among the entertainment offerings. Celebrity guests have included Judd McIlvain (KCBS - Channel 2), noted food and wine writer, Elmer Dills (KABC-TV/Radio), Robert Lawrence Balzer (author and international wine authority), and Ed Lauter (actor, "The Longest Yard" plus many more movies and TV appearances).This event attracts business, civic, and community leaders; receives extensive media exposure; and has raised over $3,109,000 to support ongoing programs of the Long Beach office of the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles.
